Can we just talk about one of my favorite books? Professor James Loewen rips apart high school text books, and explores how historical myths continue to be perpetuated in today’s climate and adds an eye opening chapter about the lies that surround 9/11 and the Iraq War. He revises text books that have been written by individuals who are marred by an embarrassing combination of blind patriotism, mindless optimism, misinformation, and lies. It’s pretty good.
